November 21st is the last day for the Can Food Drive. The classroom with the most cans of food brought in will win a pizza party. We are in competition with Eubank Elementary. The winner has to wear the other schools t-shirt for a week. Please help make the Eubank FRYSC person wear a Science Hill Yellow Jackets t-shirt for a week!!!!!! In addition to this, if we get 5,000 can, Mr. Dyehouse will have lunch on the roof of the school in a PINK BUNNY SUIT!!

  • Chili Supper- Serving Chili, Hot Dogs & Drinks in the cafeteria.
  • Royal Court- Crowning in the Auditorium beginning at 5:30pm.
  • Concessions- These are available for purchase in the concession area.
  • Ice Cream- This will be available for purchase in front of the school.

Basketball practice for boys and girls will begin on Monday, June 5th. Boys will practice from 8:30 - 10:00 a.m. and girls from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. Practice will continue every Monday and Wednesday throughout the summer.

The 2016-17 Science Hill School Art Show will be Monday May 1st, 2017.  Parents can view the show 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Students 1st through 8th grade will have artwork on display.  All student artwork can be picked up at 6:00 p.m. the evening of the show.  Any artwork that is not picked up will be sent home at a later date.  Thank you for your support for our art program!

Science Hill Student Council is collecting items for Sunrise Children’s Services from now until the end of April. Below is a list of items per grade level that is requested to benefit these families:

 

Preschool, Kindergarten, and 1st grade: Toothbrushes, toothpaste, and dental floss

 

2nd grade-3rd grade: Shampoo, conditioner, bars of soap  

 

4th grade-5th grade: Brushes, combs, hair ties, bobby pins, hair clips, etc.

 

6th grade -7th grade: Body lotion, perfumes,  hand sanitizers

 

****8th grade: see Mrs. Costello or Mrs. Luttrell****

Please make sure all items are new and in original package. A box for collected items will be located in the Middle School hall near where Mrs. Young monitors in the mornings. Items can be dropped off in the morning before school. All items are greatly appreciated!

Preschool & Kindergarten Registration for the 2017-2018 school year, will be held on April 21st  from 8:30-2:30. Students entering Preschool must be 4 years old by August 1st. Kindergarten must be 5 years old by August 1st. Parents, please bring a copy of your child’s Birth Certificate, SS number and an updated Immunization Certificate.

Dr. Seuss week will be the week of February 27th – March 3rd. Below are the dress up activities that will take place during this week.

 

Monday – Wear as many different colors as you can

Tuesday – Pajama and slipper day

Wednesday – Wacky Wednesday, Crazy hats, socks, clothes

Thursday – Pocket day – Wear something with pockets and put items in them

Friday – Dress as your favorite book character

Pulaski County 4-H will once again be hosting Missoula Children’s Theatre at Science Hill Independent School the week of February 6-11. This Theatrical production is FREE and open to any student in Pulaski County grades kindergarten through 12th grade. This year’s production will be “Gulliver’s Travels”. Auditions will be held Monday, February 6, from 4 pm-6 pm in the auditorium. 50-60 students will be chosen to appear in the show on Saturday, February 11, at 2 pm. If chosen for a part, students must be available to practice Monday thru Friday from 4pm-6pm and/or 6:30pm-8:30pm.

 

Costumes for each student will be provided. A light supper will be served each night for students staying all four hours of rehearsal. Science Hill students may stay after school until practice time at 4pm. Please see Mrs. Young for permission forms and further information about this exciting opportunity to work with a professional theatrical company!
