A 100 percent tobacco-free school policy reflects a firm commitment by school administration, teachers and parents to provide students, personnel, and community members a safe, tobacco-free  environment. Tobacco-free schools (including alternate nicotine products and vapor products)  give adults the opportunity to be role models for tobacco-free lifestyles and set the tone for reduced social acceptance of tobacco use. In addition, studies show that students in tobacco-free schools are less likely to start smoking. More resources: http://www.tobaccofreeschoolsky.org/index.html

Grandparent Support Group

FRYSC

Are you raising a grandchild in your home? If so, you are invited to attend our monthly support group. The group meets once a month and shares experiences. We have programs and speakers designed for grandparents and a free lunch provided. This free service is provided by the Family Resource and Youth Service Centers of Pulaski County, Somerset and Science Hill Schools. If you would like more information, please call Keli Nelson at 679-7824 or your Family Resource Services Center at your child’s school.

Pop Tab Collection

Please help 4th and 5th graders with their service project of collecting pop tabs for 4-H club. The collected pop tabs will be recycled and the money earned will be used to sponsor children to attend a summer camp. You may turn in any pop tabs to Mrs. Eastham or give to any 4th or 5th grader.

Thank you for helping us give back to our community!

ATTENTION:Students are allowed to carry ONLY clear packaged bottles of plain water to their classes. No other beverages or containers are allowed in classes. If you take anything other than this, the teacher will ask you to throw it away.
